EFET issues a recall after discovering missing hazelnut allergen information on chocolate labels.

EFET Initiates Recall Following Allergen Labelling Failure

The Hellenic Food Authority initiated a recall of specific chocolate products after inspectors identified a serious labelling omission. An emergency inspection carried out by the Regional Directorate of Western Greece uncovered that certain chocolate items distributed by PAN. VAS. MORAITIS IKE in Patras lacked a declaration of hazelnut paste on their Greek language labels.

The affected items include Milka chocolate Oreo 100g with a best before date of 24 06 2026, and Milka chocolate Oreo Brownies 100g with a best before date of 28 04 2026. Both product batches were found to be circulating on the Greek market without proper allergen information.

EFET demanded the immediate withdrawal and recall of the listed batches from retail shelves, and officials have already begun checks to ensure compliance. Consumers with hazelnut allergies are urged to avoid consuming the products in question if they have already purchased them.
