Hamas has handed a further body of an Israeli hostage to the Red Cross, Israeli army says; three bodies — two Israelis and one Thai — still remain in Gaza under the ceasefire terms that began Oct. 10.

Hamas has handed over another body of an Israeli hostage to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), the Israeli army announced on 25 November 2025.

In a brief statement the Israeli military said: "According to the information provided by the Red Cross, the coffin with the body of a hostage was handed over into its custody and is being transferred to be delivered to (Israeli) soldiers in the Gaza Strip." The army characterized the transfer as performed under the care of the Red Cross.

The handover takes place against the backdrop of a fragile ceasefire between Israel and Palestinian militants that came into effect on 10 October 2025 after more than two years of fighting in Gaza. Under that ceasefire agreement, Hamas is still required to return the remains of three hostages who have remained in Gaza since they were taken on 7 October 2023: two Israeli citizens and one Thai national.
