December will begin with fair weather for a couple of days, but that respite will be short. Meteorologists warn that from Wednesday, December 3, 2025, a new wave of bad weather will arrive.
Western Greece, which is still recovering from the ADEL storm, is expected to be hit again within less than a week by intense storms. According to meteorologist Giorgos Tsatrafyllias, a low-pressure system forming in the Gulf of Sirte will bring rain, thunderstorms, gale-force southerly winds and hail beginning on Wednesday.
Tsatrafyllias forecasts the heaviest rainfall totals to occur in western Greece and the Aegean. He explains that because temperatures will be relatively high, snow will be confined to mountain areas, but local hailstorms are possible. The weather system is expected to first show effects on Wednesday morning in the west, produce occasionally severe phenomena, and by Sunday sweep across the entire country.
