Overview of the Modernization Initiative
The Region of Western Greece has launched a funding call for the Modernization of Small Entrepreneurship Western Greece 2025, supported by the European Regional Development Fund under the Western Greece 2021 2027 Program. The total available budget reaches 23000000 euros and is allocated across 3 beneficiary categories.

Goals of the Initiative
The initiative aims to help businesses transition towards sustainable and innovative operational models, promoting environmental protection, cost efficiency and employment growth through increased extroversion.

Economic development Strengthening small and very small enterprises to boost local growth and attract investments
Innovation and digital transition Encouraging adoption of digital tools and innovative practices to enhance competitiveness
Sustainable development Supporting environmentally friendly and energy efficient projects
Eligible Beneficiaries
Eligible applicants include existing very small and small enterprises that meet the requirements of the call.
Only 1 funding application may be submitted per tax ID
Enterprises must operate within Greece and carry out investments exclusively in Western Greece
They must have completed at least 1 full fiscal year before submitting the application
The investment must correspond to at least 1 eligible activity code in which the business is substantially active
Investment Categories and Funding Limits
Scientists self employed professionals Investment plans from 5000 to 10000 euros
Small investments Investment plans from 5000 to 40000 euros
Medium investments Investment plans from 40001 to 120000 euros
The funding rate reaches 50% of the approved budget with a maximum implementation period of 24 months.
Annual Turnover Requirements
Category A 15000 to 100000 euros
Category B 15000 to 500000 euros
Category C above 500000 euros
Eligible Expenses for Category A
Buildings facilities surrounding space and accessibility improvements up to 100% of the budget
Equipment including office equipment and software up to 100% of the budget
Services Certifications up to 50% product or service design up to 20% corporate identity up to 20%
Indirect costs 7% of direct expenses
Eligible Expenses for Categories B and C
Buildings facilities surrounding space and accessibility up to 100% of the budget
Basic and additional equipment including software up to 100% of the budget
Services Certifications up to 15% design up to 20% corporate identity promotion exhibitions up to 20% business plan up to 20%
Indirect costs 7% of direct expenses
