Gov.gr Wallet has been upgraded with 3 new functions that provide citizens with clearer oversight of their digital documents and quicker ways to complete key processes. Users now receive instant notifications whenever their digital driving licence or digital ID is revoked.
Revocations can be issued for administrative reasons or for violations such as traffic offences imposed by the Hellenic Police, as well as actions taken by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport. Whenever such a change occurs, the next time users open the app they are presented with a message informing them of the update.
Citizens can then review which document has been revoked and attempt to re add it to Gov.gr Wallet, with the system displaying a message if reactivation is not permitted.
Document addition has become easier due to the automatic filling of the one time password, replacing the previous manual process that required users to type in the 6 digit code received via SMS.
The DYPA Digital Card now updates in real time inside Gov.gr Wallet, giving immediate visibility of a users unemployment status. The card uses color indicators to make the status clearer. Green appears for those unemployed up to 12 months with no income criteria checks, and for those unemployed over 12 months who meet the income criteria for the heating allowance. Orange appears for users unemployed over 12 months who do not meet those requirements.
If the DYPA Digital Card becomes invalid, it is automatically removed from the app without any action required from the user.
The new features were implemented by the General Secretariat for Information Systems and Digital Governance in collaboration with GRNET, while the update of the DYPA Digital Card was developed together with DYPA.
