Arrests Made in Thessaloniki Following Privacy Complaint
A couple from Thessaloniki was taken into custody after being accused of violating the personal data of political figure Afroditi Latinopoulou. Authorities reported that security cameras installed in the couples residence were allegedly capturing private areas belonging to her.
Investigation Begins After Formal Complaint
The issue surfaced after the president of Foni Logikis submitted an official complaint. Police proceeded on Thursday to arrest a 51 year old woman and her 55 year old husband in connection with the case.
Details of the Surveillance Allegations
According to the report filed by Afroditi Latinopoulou, the couple had installed two security cameras at their home in the municipality of Thermaikos. These devices reportedly recorded not only private sections of her property but also shared areas within the residential complex.
Evidence Seized During Police Search
During a search conducted at the residence of the arrested couple, officers located and confiscated two security cameras along with two memory cards that were installed in the devices.
