Early Life and Academic Excellence
Born in Athens in 1932, he excelled academically, graduating with distinction from the Athens University of Economics and Business. From a young age, he worked in the family enterprises, navigating the challenges of the post war era and contributing actively to the growth and outward orientation of the Greek Copper and Aluminum Industry.
Taking the Helm of Viohalko
In 1964, following the death of Michail Stassinopoulos, he and his brother Evangelos assumed leadership of Viohalko. Known for his foresight and exceptional capabilities, he placed strong emphasis on the human factor, ethical business practices and transparency. With determination and integrity, he expanded and enriched the foundation laid by his father.

Alongside his mother Marianthe and brother Evangelos, he founded the Michail N Stassinopoulos Viohalko Foundation in memory of his father. Under the later leadership of his wife Alexandra, the foundation left a meaningful social footprint in Tegea, Arcadia, the family’s place of origin.
