Panathinaikos and River Plate have emerged as the two main contenders for Godoy Cruz winger Santino Antino. Argentine journalist Sebastián Srur recently reported that the Greek club is among the sides showing interest in the 20 year old prospect.
Interest in Antino is not new, as Olympiacos had previously monitored his progress. Srur now indicates that both Panathinaikos and River Plate are assessing the possibility of signing him.
River Plate has already taken early steps in the race for the Argentine winger. The player is reportedly open to a move to Europe, which keeps Panathinaikos firmly in the conversation should they decide to make a formal offer.
Evaluation of the winger positions at Panathinaikos shows the squad currently includes Zaroury Pantelidis Djuricic Pellistri and Mancini. Concerns over a potential departure of Tete combined with limited playing time for Pellistri increase the likelihood of the club pursuing another attacking midfielder or winger.
