Shortly before 10:30 in the morning, farmers from Alexandria Imathia blocked the Egnatia Odos lane toward Veria at the Niselio junction, placing their tractors on the roadway. They created a complete stoppage of traffic in that direction.
A member of the coordinating committee stated that it is unknown when the road will reopen, indicating uncertainty about the duration of the blockade and leaving motorists without clear expectations.
Despite the interruption, the farmers have kept a passage open exclusively for emergency vehicles, while their demonstrations at the entrance to Alexandria have been ongoing since December 1.

Farmers blocking the lane toward Veria on Egnatia Odos
The farmers arrived at the Niselio junction on Egnatia Odos shortly before 10:30 and immediately proceeded to block the lane toward Veria by driving their tractors onto the pavement. Their presence created significant traffic disruption in the area.
A representative from the coordinating committee told the APE MPE news agency that they do not know when the road will reopen. The lack of a specific timeline underscores the open ended nature of the protest action.
The farmers continued to emphasize that they are maintaining a single passage dedicated to emergency vehicles. They have also been positioning their tractors and agricultural vehicles at the entrance to Alexandria since December 1 as part of their ongoing mobilizations.
