Zoe Konstantopoulou reached out to Parliament President Nikitas Kaklamanis to clarify whether lawmakers would be briefed on the fast moving developments in Venezuela. The inquiry came after the United States launched a military operation in the country and detained President Nicolas Maduro along with his wife. Kaklamanis told her that no briefing was planned and that the government had not submitted any request for one. Following his response, Konstantopoulou filed an official request for Parliament to convene, noting that the same request would also be delivered in written form.
