Greece introduces new electricity charges starting February 2026 across all voltage categories

Updated Electricity Charges Set to Begin

New electricity charges will begin on February 1 2026 following a decision by the Regulatory Authority for Waste Energy and Water regarding the updated System Usage Charges for the Greek electricity transmission system.

Further details highlight that High Voltage consumers will see a rate of 4,391 euros per MW each month with no additional energy surcharge.

Medium Voltage consumers will be charged 4,592 euros per MW per month according to the published decision.

Telemetered Low Voltage consumers will face a monthly cost of 5,482 euros per MW under the revised framework.

Non telemetered Low Voltage users including households and small businesses will have charges calculated strictly based on their energy consumption.

Industrial non telemetered consumers will pay 0.788 cents per kWh as part of the new structure.

Commercial consumers will encounter a rate of 0.918 cents per kWh after the changes take effect.

Public lighting and utility operators will be billed 1.065 cents per kWh under the updated pricing.

Remaining consumers including residential customers will be charged 1.151 cents per kWh according to the authority.
