The Steady Lead of New Democracy and a Public Divided on Protests
In a calm conversational tone reminiscent of a seasoned political observer strolling through the shifting landscape of public sentiment, the latest Interview poll paints a clear picture of where voters currently stand. New Democracy maintains a firm anchor above the 30 percent mark in the election outcome estimation, reaching 30.8 percent and holding a comfortable 17 point lead over PASOK, which sits at 13.8 percent.
Further down the line, voters distribute their intentions among several parties: Greek Solution at 7.7 percent, Freedom Sailing at 7.5 percent, KKE at 6.5 percent, Voice of Logic at 6.3 percent, SYRIZA at 4 percent, Democracy Movement at 4 percent, MeRA25 at 4 percent, New Left at 1.5 percent, Victory at 1.1 percent and Other at 12.8 percent.
If Elections Were Held Next Sunday
The hypothetical ballot box scenario shifts the balance slightly but keeps ND comfortably in front at 25.8 percent. PASOK follows at 11.6 percent. Behind them, voter preferences fall as follows:
