A 16 year old boy suffered severe injuries in the Municipality of Ziros after an accidental shotgun discharge while he was attempting to hunt birds in the yard of a residence. Emergency responders found the teenager critically hurt following the unexpected firing of the weapon. According to local reporting, he slipped during the activity and the shotgun discharged as he fell. Medical teams transported him urgently to the hospital in Arta, where he was intubated due to the seriousness of his condition. Doctors are preparing his transfer to an Intensive Care Unit, with the University Hospital of Ioannina considered a likely destination.
