A 53 year old man convicted of sexually abusing a minor has been arrested in Thessaloniki after a targeted police search in the Evosmos and Efkarpia area.
Authorities located the suspect during an ongoing effort to track him down following a court ruling issued on Rhodes.
The man had been sentenced to a total of 16 years in prison for sexual acts and exploitation involving a child who was under 12 years old.
Investigators confirmed that the offences took place in 2020 on the island of Kos.
He has since been transferred to the competent prosecutor responsible for enforcing the imposed sentence.
