Elderly Woman Sets Herself Ablaze on Aigaleo Street

A shocking incident unfolded in Aigaleo when a 96 year old woman set herself on fire in the middle of the street. Authorities reported that the act took place around 11:00 a.m. at the intersection of Papanastasiou and Artakis streets. Witnesses said the woman was standing outside a baby products store before she doused herself with a flammable liquid and ignited her clothing. Emergency crews transported her to the hospital in extremely critical condition.
