A 15 year old girl reported to authorities that she was sexually harassed on 14 01 at approximately 15 40 while traveling through Kypseli. Another detail shared with police indicates that she boarded bus 022 at the Egypt Square stop near Pedion tou Areos before the incident occurred. Further information shows that an unknown man around 50 years old approached and harassed her inside the vehicle.
The teenager immediately got off the bus at Skyrou Street in an attempt to distance herself from the man. A new threat emerged when the man followed her after she exited and proposed paid sexual activity. The girl refused the proposition and sought assistance from a store employee on Fokionos Street.
Police were notified quickly after the encounter. An ongoing challenge remains as the suspect fled the scene before officers arrived and has not been located. A case file has been opened as part of the continuing investigation.
