A fatal confrontation unfolded in Patras around 5 a.m. on Sunday, ending with the death of a 30 year old man. Investigators say the incident began when two groups out enjoying the city night scene clashed over a seemingly trivial matter.
A heated argument quickly intensified into a violent beating that left one man severely injured. Witnesses recount that the assailants, realizing the gravity of his condition, transported the victim to the hospital along with another member of his group who had suffered lighter injuries before fleeing the scene.
Doctors attempted to save the 30 year old, but he died shortly after arriving at the hospital. Medical staff immediately alerted police, who launched a search for the perpetrators.
