A violent incident in Agios Dimitrios early Monday morning left two men injured after gunfire erupted inside a local grill restaurant. The attack took place on 12 1 at a business located at 70 Agoniston Polytechneiou Street.
Authorities said that around 2:40 a.m., an unidentified individual entered the establishment and immediately fired at the 39 year old owner and his 70 year old father.
Initial reports indicate that both victims were struck in the legs, each by a single bullet, before being rushed to hospital where they remain in stable condition.
The assailant fled the scene in an SUV heading toward Filikis Etairias, prompting an ongoing search by police.
Investigators are still working to determine a motive, though early information does not rule out the possibility of fan related tensions.
