A municipal employee in Malevizi was taken into custody following accusations of forgery, bribery, fraud and breach of duty. Officers acted after a woman filed a complaint that prompted investigators to examine the officials conduct.
Authorities reported that the employee allegedly produced a forged document to assist the woman with a personal matter in exchange for 6000 euros. Investigators later located the previously marked banknotes in his possession.
Police also confiscated the forged paperwork along with handwritten notes believed to be linked to the case. The Malevizi Police Department is continuing the investigation.
