Police Arrest Three Suspects After Violent Home Robbery in Kaminia
Authorities reported that three suspects forced their way into a residence in Kaminia during the early hours of 10 January 2026 and intimidated a 97 year old woman and her 59 year old daughter with a crowbar. Officers stated that a 28 year old Greek man along with two foreign nationals aged 29 and 18 took 24200 euros, 2200 US dollars and several pieces of jewelry before escaping on foot.
Four police patrol units immediately mobilized following a call from the operations center and quickly located the trio in the surrounding area. Officers began a foot chase as the suspects attempted to flee but each was apprehended shortly afterward.
During the pursuit the 29 year old foreign national allegedly discarded a small bag containing the stolen cash and jewelry, which investigators later recovered. Police also found a full face hood along with 380 euros hidden in the clothing of the 18 year old suspect.
All recovered items were returned without delay to the 97 year old victim. Subsequent searches in the suspects homes uncovered burglary tools and led officers to a 24 year old foreign national who was found with a small quantity of narcotics.
Authorities confirmed that the three arrested individuals now face charges of serial and joint robbery as well as violations of weapons legislation.
