Police in Thessaloniki arrested a 43 year old foreign man early on New Years Day after he was accused of sexually harassing a 20 year old woman and threatening her 24 year old partner.
Investigators reported that the man allegedly groped, harassed, and insulted the woman while inside a bar in the city center.
Officers stated that the young woman and her partner responded both verbally and physically, causing injuries to the 43 year old man during the confrontation.
The couple were subsequently detained as well, with police attributing their arrests to bodily harm and verbal abuse linked to the altercation.
The case file is expected to be forwarded to the prosecutor for further action.
