Police Detain Four Minors Following Reported Assault
Four girls aged 13 and 14 were arrested in Agios Panteleimonas after a 15 year old reported being assaulted. Officers from the DIAS motorcycle unit located the minors shortly after the incident.
The victim, a 15 year old of Chinese origin, told police that the girls involved came from Greek, Egyptian, and Georgian backgrounds. Details provided to authorities indicated that the attack took place at midday on Thursday at the intersection of Kampani and Agiou Meletiou streets.
Investigators determined that the minors were responsible for causing dangerous bodily harm, which led to their immediate arrest. Police also placed the parents of the girls in custody on charges related to neglect of supervision.
Emergency responders transported the injured teenager to Aglaia Kyriakou Childrens Hospital. Medical staff treated her for scratches and bruises following the assault.
