A 23 year old woman in Thessaloniki has described a prolonged period of distress marked by threats, humiliation and violence at the hands of her 27 year old former partner. Authorities were alerted after she filed a report outlining the alleged abuse.
During their 2 year relationship, the man reportedly insulted her, intimidated her and even confined her inside his home for a short time. Another allegation indicates that he recorded intimate encounters without seeking her consent.
Following their separation, the woman said he continued to pursue her persistently in an effort to force a reconciliation. She stated that she was raped twice, once in a forested area in November and again on 06 01 2026 inside a parking garage, where he allegedly filmed the assault.
On 08 01 2026, she received clips of the recorded act sent by the suspect in what she described as an attempt to pressure her into meeting his demands. That development prompted her to turn to the police.
Officers located and arrested the 27 year old shortly after the complaint was filed. The charges brought against him include rape, revenge porn, illegal detention, domestic violence related offences and personal data violations.
Investigators have seized the woman’s mobile phone for forensic analysis. A medical examination is expected to follow as part of the inquiry.
Police stated that the suspect will be brought before the prosecutor while the investigation continues.
