A 20 year old woman from Sudan reported to staff at a refugee accommodation facility in Koutsocheiro Larissa that she was raped early Tuesday morning.
Police were informed after the woman stated that two Sudanese men aged 22 and 23 who also reside in the facility assaulted her.
Investigators confirmed that the woman identified both individuals as the alleged perpetrators.
Authorities subsequently arrested the 23 year old suspect while officers are still searching for the 22 year old man.
The complaint was filed around midday on Tuesday and the woman was transferred to the on duty university hospital PGNL for medical care.
The case remains under active police investigation.
