A coordinated police sweep unfolded at Korydallos Prison on the morning of Saturday 10 January during an operation led by the Directorate for Combating Organized Crime.
Another phase of the operation involved officers from the Extortion Division, supported by the Operational Teams Unit, who conducted targeted searches inside multiple cells.
Inside the detention areas, police located and confiscated several prohibited items.

A telephone device and a mobile phone
2 chargers and a pair of earphones
Four inmates were placed under arrest following the discovery of the contraband.
Authorities confirmed that charges were filed for violations of weapons laws, drug legislation, and regulations related to public order and public safety.
Two detainees, in whose cell the knife and drugs were recovered, were taken to the prosecutor under the immediate procedure.
A case file for the remaining two detainees will be forwarded to the competent authorities.
