DIAS officers pursued a motorcycle with no license plate, ending with the teen striking a police vehicle before being detained.

A police pursuit unfolded on Sunday night January 4 in Keratsini after DIAS officers identified a motorcycle carrying 2 riders without a license plate at the junction of Dimokratias Avenue and Konstantinoupoleos Avenue. Officers signaled the 15 year old driver to stop, yet he accelerated after running a red light. Moments later the chase continued through surrounding streets until the motorcycle reached Madytoy Street where parked vehicles left the riders with no room to escape. Shortly after the passenger fled on foot while the young driver attempted to reverse out of the narrow space and struck a police motorcycle causing damage. Police moved in and arrested the 15 year old who was found to be operating a motorcycle reported stolen since early December from the same area.
